Best Apache version and best cache for PHP 5.4

I am wondering what is the best Apache version eg. 2.2 or 2.4 on CPanel servers? And in case of either, which would be the best MPM for a somewhat busy PHP + MYSQL based website (vBulletin forum)? Also which OPCode Cache works best and most trouble free with PHP 5.4?

I use APC as my PHP 5.4 opcache, but be aware that in PHP 5.5, Zend OpCache is built in. For a new server running PHP 5.4, I would recommend using Zend OpCache to make things easier when you upgrade to PHP 5.5. Last edited by VectorVPS; 04-27-2014 at 06:55 AM. Reason: Zend Optimizer renamed to Zend OpCache for the integration with PHP 5.5
