Need to find a reseller hosting provider that is not hosting spammers

Posted by zumaview, 10-09-2010, 12:13 PM
Hi, One of the reseller accounts that I have (Lypha) seems to host spammers. All of my clients on this account have trouble with their own email ending up in spam folders. None of my clients are spammers, not even close. They are all medical professionals that send out maybe 10 emails a day. Does anyone recommend some hosting resellers (reasonably priced) where I won't have this issue of having all of my clients outgoing emails end up in spam folders? Cpanel availability is preferred. Thanks for your help.

What is your budget and how much resources are you needing?

Most hosts will take care of this issue and make sure their mail server IP's are not on spam blacklists so this doesn't happen. I guess a good way to find out is to ask a certain host you're interested in what IP you'd be placed on, so that you can check the blacklists. Also check for rDNS. It would be good to enable SPF as well, which you can do through the cPanel interface. You could also ask your current provider to try clearing up the issue, so you wouldn't have to move things around.

Yea, we regularly check our IP's to ensure they aren't on the blacklist. See if they would be willing to change IPs. Otherwise take a look into some other options since they obviously do not care enough about their customers and how "clean" they are

I recommend you to ask your hosting provider to shift your reseller account on a dedicated IP it will cost a bit (most of the host charges $2/per month) but only your clients will be sharing that IP

Once you know the IP you will be placed on, you should run it through a tool like mxtoolbox.com to see check if it is already on any blacklists or has other problems.

ask your host to give you dedicated ip and set up mail to be sent from this ip, this should help you a bit, still you can consider vps or even dedicated server for you, they're really cheap nowadays

You could also pay for a dedicated IP but it may be blacklisted unfortunately.

Get yourself a Dedicated IP. Your provider can change it so all of your clients cPanel accounts use your own Dedicated IP instead of the main servers Shared IP addresses. This can be done in WebHostManager at Main >> Resellers >> Reseller Center >> Manage reseller's main/shared IP.
