Posted by atif-register, 08-07-2015, 02:01 PM We need to upgrade debian wheezy-7 rsync to 1.0 or later version in order to use its new feature 'rsync --chown=user:group' but unable to install it due to some libc6 > 2.15 error. If somebody can provide us the guide for upgrade, it'll be really helpful. Thanks in advance !!
Posted by Srv24x7, 08-08-2015, 10:13 AM Hi, Please try to use apt-get update rsync or aptitude install rsync to check whether new version is available on the sources. This is the first preferred choice, otherwise manual compilation of rsync is always the option left.
