phpbb vs typo3

Mods, if this topic does not belong there - please forgive me and move it where it does belong I have a question about forums. I am going to have a website based on Typo3 cms. The host is almost found. The site will have its forum and I want it to be as secure as possible. Unfortunately, I cannot invest $ into paid forums, like vbulletin. The question is, which forum is more secure and which one will become the biggest obstacle for hackers / spambots - phpbb or Typo3 forum? Your advice would be greatly appreciated

You may go for phpbb. Captcha can be added to the phpbb.

phpbb's capcha has been broken for a while. If you can wait, I'd wait to see what smf2 turns out to be like. If you're after which is more secure? I'd say smf If you're after which is more spam free? I'd say smf

I would recommend SMF or MyBB over phpBB. http://www.forummatrix.org/compare/MyBB+phpBB+SMF
