shoutcast error

| i am getting these error in my shoutcast server...after while the server is in these port is crashing...wha exactly is these
[yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (Please identify this station's genre (in the dsp plugin YP tab).

| that just means the users connected and streaming usingthe shoutcast server have not set up the 'yellowpages' part of the winamp plugin, its nothing that would cause server to crash, just meants that stream wont be listed on shoutcast.com

| ok something else...is there a way to automatically start a shoutcast server for example in port 8004 every time goes down(crash)...i have cast control but i must login to the system to start the server..is there any way to start it automatically when goes down?

| Hi,
If your shoutcast servers crash it is usually caused by apache restarting (reasons such as log rotation ect). If you contact our helpdesk we will help you with this issue.

| the main problem i'm having with shoutcast is that i have csf firewall installed, every so often i can't seem to stream one or two of my streams. all the ports are open etc. i turn firewall off it starts working bout 2 to 5 mins later. any answers? thanks,
