How to tella bot not to foolow one part of a page

Hi, In my google webmaster tools, it says that I have 560 urls not found, in fact the google bot is trying to follow the "rating" script of my pages, how can I stop that please? The page is in PHP. I know how to stop the bot not to follow a full page but part of a script...I have no idea. Thanks for your help, BamBam

I don't think you can, though you could add "nofollow" to the individual links. But if I understand this right, your rating script is linking to non-existent urls. If so, why? If they're links intended to just trigger a javascript function then you could just use href="#" or (better) link to a special page saying "You need to enable javascript to use this function".

Thanks Foobic, I am going to have a look at what you said. One thing that might also give me the error in the webmaster googl tool is the fact that a few files have been deleted between the sitemaps......I believe their bot is looking for something that was there last month but is gone now...could be. Thanks again, BamBam

The script could check the user agent and act appropriately...
