Posted by feronso, 08-13-2015, 03:28 AM Hello, I have received daily 1000 to 1500 emails from Mail Delivery System" Here is the whole message sample What i believe is some external hostname try to relay my mail server which is rejected by my mail server and in return my server service notify root about failure of email. What i want to achieve is, Protecting my mail server from this kind of failure attempt or atleast i won't get this kind of email on my root because today i have deleted 4GB mails from the root account mail box and all emails are similar to above sample just only IPs change and email id change. I have CSF firewall installed and configured and that is dealt with SMTP postfix, but i don't think it can handle this kind of situation where each email came from unique IP. If anyone have any suggestion and advise kindly post so i will ignore this kind of email generating and became headache. i also want to prevent them store in my root account. OS centos 6.X FINAL Thanks

But you shouldn't be getting notifications about it, because these attempts are a norm if you run an MTA and yes you can get hundreds, thousands of them per day. Did you set notify_classes to a non-default value, like "policy"? Check the manual and reduce the verbosity of it: http://www.postfix.org/postconf.5.html#notify_classes
