backend bookkeeping what apps?

Hi folks and Happy New Year, there is a thread going on Modernbills forum with regard to integrating web based signup apps like Modernbill with backend bookkeeping. I would like to get some input from folks here on what they are doing. I currently use QB Pro for 4 businesses. The reason is my accoutant uses QB Pro. QB Pro is very clumsy for the two web based businesses. Data in ModernBill is difficult to import. My impression is that folks use signup apps like Modernbill on the frontend. What apps are they using on the backend to keep the accoutant happy? Please see discussion below for more backround: "Happy New Year! I guess what I need for my bookkeeping app is anything that will take or permit me to import the data from the online version of Modernbill to it. My accountant uses various versions of QB Pro. I use QB Pro for 2 (rockinghorseranch.com and topdogmedia.com) other businesses by setting up seperate companies in the app. I am currently using it for the hosting and web development but it is clumsy for hosting, so I am trying to find something else for the hosting business. I have a couple of other businesses with him and he takes good care of me...with regard to the IRS so I really dont want to fire him I went through some expensive lessens before I finally found this guy. I am really open to anything on the backend(my local pc) that would work well with Modernbill. I am curious as to what others are doing in terms of bookkeeping. Are they using Modernbill online as their standalone signup, bookkeeping app? If I could find the right app I would like to move topdogmedia.com(web development) books to it as well so that the web businesses run on it and leave the ranch on QB Pro. I dont know if that answers your question. What do I need...a local PC version of Modernbill? Something to where I can give my accountant an "accountants view" of the business, sales, income, expenses that he can use. Geez I know this is really above and beyond the call of duty for the Modernbill developers. I am just trying to get everything one place and working together, frontend(ModernBill with signup with its ability to due transaction processing(echo), recurring billing and so on) and the backend(for the accountant) right now QB Pro. Not a good match. QB Pro is the problem...not ModernBill IMHO." quote from Modernbill Admin: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What exactly is needed for the books? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
