SSL GeoTrust certs by RackShack ??

Posted by biz, 02-11-2003, 12:04 PM
Hello again. Many of you recommended that I should go with Geotrust cert by RackShack for his SSL needs. So this is exactly what I did. But I got an invalid cert So I emailed Geotrust and they told me that it's RackShack duty to fix it. I emailed support@RackShack.net twice and didn't get even a respond. It's now 3 days that my customer waits for the cert so he can start selling his products - but I can't get any help? What should I do? You must have more experience - please give me an advice. Thanks

what exactly is invalid about the cert?

The Technical problem is that the Certificate doesn't correspond to key and CSR. The CSR IS corresponds to private key. So certificate doesn't correspond to key and CSR But my main problem is how come Geotrust don't want to handle this and sending me to RackShack. But RackShack don't respond at all. What should I do to get the support? I am sure that both Geotrust and RackShack can fix it in less then 5 min! but i can't get any respond! any ideas? Last edited by biz; 02-11-2003 at 03:10 PM.

Biz, Since Rackshack is the one which sold you the SSL certificate and as such, they are the party which you need to be in contact with in resolving any issue with the certificate they sold. Try contacting cust_service@rackshack.net to see if they can resolve your problem.

rackshacks chat room is good for issues like this Congrats for GEOtrust getting this sorted - you guys rock. I think we have about 10 of your certificates from RS, excellent product, awsome price!

Well. My problem isn't solved yet Came out that it's probably an issue with Hsphere Control panel and the Geotrust cert But I must admit that I got terrific help from Geotrust Tech's Tony and Aaron. They called me oversea few times and promised me they are working to solve the problem with Hsphere and my hosting company. So thanks again Neal for your help we can really see that GeoTrust stands behind their cert I just hope that this problem will fixed fast since my customer will never understand all the efforts you and me are putting in trying to solve the problem I also must say that the guys of my hosting company Vortechhosting doing great work by trying to fix my problem so I am sure that both will find and fix the problem I will keep this great wonderful forum updated.
