The internet market for new web hosting requires a damn good website, paid-per click advertising, a network of happy customers to refer clients to you among other things. How many people have marketed their services toward a specific geographic area - by advertising in local newspaper, etc. I am interested in developing the best marketing plan.

I believe local advertising is best. You can seal the deal with a handshake and also open up hosting to someone that may not have sat around and said hey maybe I will open a website. I could write for days about this i have been thinking of writing an article on this. Well if i do i will share Derrick

Yeah, I've just realised how logical this really is. I mean all my clients thus far have been from friends or family spreading the word. I've done a bit of advertising online but there is just too much competition. Sure there is competition locally too, but at least here it's minimal, and the market has room to grow. That personal contact can make the difference!
