Posted by pmabraham, 09-03-2009, 09:00 AM Greetings: We need to add one to several Microsoft SRV records to our BIND/DNS name servers running on Linux. When I add the records, the configuration check tools included with BIND/DNS show everything ok -- named-checkconf and named-checkzone When I restart named, the secondary name server spits out "unexpected rcode (SERVFAIL) from master" errors. So I'm not sure how to proceed. Does anyone have any examples of what needs to change in a BIND/DNS zone file for Microsoft SRV records to work? Thank you.
