Need a new host

Posted by nbarry, 07-07-2003, 01:35 PM
I am looking into switching my web host provider due to lots of down time lately. I don't really resell, but I maintain several sites, a few non profit companies. I have a good deal right now, but I need to get some input from those who have had good experience. My last provider (before the current one) was awful and I couldn't update my sites for over a week. I have one fairly large site, and four more. Any info would be appreciated. I need Front page extensions, about 5-10 emails per site. Thanks. Nancy

My suggest would be figure out how many domains you are going to need to host and how much diskspace and bandwidth you need and then someone should be able to give you some better feedback. you can also post in the webhosting requests forum or also check out the web hosting special offers forum, but be careful or anything that looks too good to be true good luck,

I went back and looked at each site and I have more info. I will have a total of 5 sites, each one will be no more than 150MB and 5 emails per site. I do have a site that gets lots of activity and the bandwidth is much higher on that one than others. I am going to post this in the other group as well. I appreciate the help. My biggest site is a not for profit group and they all have children with special health needs and rely on that site and the message board there. Thanks! Nancy

Your needs appear to be pretty basic. Most reliable web hosting providers will not have any issues meeting your needs. Ask around, use the search function. Like with any purchase that you would make, do a little research. Kind Regards, -Darrell

Take a look at pair.com (they may have niche in hosting non-propfit organizations) and unitedhosting.co.uk
